Richard Oliver (alternate director to Mukhtar Hussain)

Richard holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University, and a Masters in Business Administration and Finance from City University Business School in the UK.Richard is a Fellow of the Securities Institute in the UK and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Richard joined the HSBC Group in 1985 and has since been involved in corporate banking, stock broking and investment banking projects throughout the GCC, the Middle East and Europe. He has been an advisor on government transactions in Russia, Jordan, the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman, and has also been trusted to advise a large number of leading corporations and families in more than 15 countries. Since 1996, Richard has been associated with a majority of regional high profile HSBC transactions.

Richard is also a Director of HSBC Amanah Finance.

Richard was based in Dubai for 7 years and now resides in Abu Dhabi.
